18th century armchairs

Rare Pair of Tuscan Armchairs from the early 1700s (Louis XV period), crafted from fine solid walnut, intricately carved with harmonious curvilinear shapes and vegetal motifs typical of the Barocchetto style.

The assembly using cavicchi (wooden pegs), the elegantly curved "en cabriole" legs, and the upholstered, removable seat and backrest frames adhere faithfully to the construction techniques of the period.

Completely original and well-preserved, they have been restored to perfection: consolidated, cleaned, and polished with warm wax to enhance the golden hues of the natural patina.

The seats have been reupholstered using the traditional hand-stitched piccio padding technique.

The robust structure, ergonomic design with inclined backrests, and soft, curving lines make these armchairs, with over three centuries of history, particularly comfortable and perfectly suited for any setting. Ideal for enhancing living rooms, reading nooks, or studies with a touch of refined elegance.
