Antique Wardrobe: The Charm of the Tuscan Countryside

Tuscan Two-Door Cabinet – Second Half of the 18th Century

Elegant and understated, this domestic cabinet was crafted in Tuscany during the latter half of the 18th century from solid gattice wood.

Robust and functional, it retains its original elegance, featuring simple, refined lines, paneled doors, sober and well-proportioned moldings, and tapered legs—elements that reflect the restraint and composure characteristic of the Louis XVI style.

The piece has undergone a conservative restoration: the structure has been reinforced, old varnishes removed, and the surface finished with a warm natural wax polish that enhances its patina.

With an internal depth of 48 cm, it offers versatile use, serving equally well as a sideboard, pantry, or wardrobe.

Its light tone, with blond hues and warm nuances, narrates a history lived in rural settings, likely within the rooms of a Tuscan countryside residence.

An authentic piece that combines classical sobriety with a lived-in charm, ready to integrate harmoniously and discreetly into contemporary spaces.
