Early 20th-century sideboard in poplar wood – traditional Umbrian craftsmanship
An authentic example of early 20th-century Umbrian rural cabinetry, made of poplar wood. In addition to the typical lift-up top, the piece features drawers, lower doors, and the distinctive "finestrino": a small removable section of the front rail designed to provide effective internal ventilation and facilitate dough rising.
The sideboard is entirely original and has been carefully restored: cleaned, structurally reinforced, and polished with shellac and wax to enhance its natural patina.
