Refined Neoclassical Chest of Drawers with Curved Front, Three Drawers, Tapered Legs, and Gilt Bronze Handles.
Crafted in Northern Italy in the second half of the 18th century (Louis XVI period, 1770-1780), this piece is veneered in rare and unusual cypress wood, featuring blonde highlights and warm tones, with rosewood inlays on the flat front and sides.
Completely original in every part, the chest has been meticulously restored, consolidated, delicately cleaned, and polished with the traditional piumaccio technique, resulting in a semi-gloss finish that enhances the natural beauty of the wood.
Solid and equipped with spacious, clean, and fully functional drawers, this piece is ready to be used as new. It is perfect for furnishing elegant spaces with timeless charm, and would pair beautifully with a gilded mirror from the same style and period.
