Crafted in Northern Italy in the second half of the 18th century (Louis XVI period, 1770-1780), this piece is veneered in rare and unusual cypress wood, featuring blonde highlights and warm tones, with rosewood inlays on the flat front and sides.
Completely original in every part, the chest has been meticulously restored, consolidated, delicately cleaned, and polished with the traditional piumaccio technique, resulting in a semi-gloss finish that enhances the natural beauty of the wood.
